It is not possible for the thread of a 1.2mm(16g) or 1.6mm(14g) barbell to fit completely in an insertion pin. The insertion pin would have to be much bigger to accommodate the thread.
Insertion pins are 50mm in length and available in 10g, 12g, 14g, 16g and 18g
